When printing bidirectionally, the edges may appear blurred, or vertical lines may become doubled.

  • The ink drop position during bidirectional printing may be misaligned due to the following reasons. Please implement the following measures.

The media being used or the height of the print head has changed.
The media is wrinkled (partially lifted).

1. Refer to the "Operation Manual" for each model and perform [DROP.POScorrect] (dot position correction).
JV400-LX: Operation Manual

* Please refer to "Operation Manual" section on "Adjusting the Dot Position (for bidirectional printing)".

2. If the media is wrinkled (partially lifted), it may be due to the contraction of the media surface caused by the heat from the heater.
To acclimate the media temperature, please raise the PRE heater by 5°C to 10°C.

If the issue persists, there is a possibility that the heater temperature for your media is too high.
Lower both the PRE heater and PRT heater by 5°C to 10°C.

* The heater settings can be adjusted from both the printer side and the software side.
Please refer to the following FAQ for detailed instructions on how to adjust the settings.
